Rebel Canners deals with a multitude of homesteading activities. Mostly we focus around food gathering and the older methods of food preservation. We are located on 6 acres in the middle of Michigan in USDA gardening zone 5. Don't confuse rebel canning with unsafe canning just because we discuss untested recipes and the old ways. Rebel Canning is concerned with safe canning, that is why we can our own food after all. We enjoy knowing what is in our food, as well as knowing how our food was prepared from seed to table. Canning food is both an art as well as a science. We Learn the rules like pros, so we can break them like artists.
